HEAT, MOTION, SOUND with Ryoko Akama & Anne-F Jacques

To understand certain systems and basic mechanisms in domestic devices, to control or generate movement through simple thermic components. In their recent work, Ryoko Akama and Anne-F Jacques use components such as bi-metallic thermostats and thermal fuses to move objects and create sounds. They will first present a basic approach on how to create electronic sounds using light bulbs, radios and other domestic materials, and finally the participants will learn about and work together on making a sound installation in the space with the artists.
